Job Description

As a Tax Accountant at Vinted you will play a crucial role in ensuring tax compliance across various countries including Poland UK Netherlands Germany Lithuania France US and Canada. You will assist in gathering analysing and summarising information to support external consultants in preparing VAT/GST and US Sales Tax returns. Your responsibilities will involve communicating with these consultants to ensure compliance as well as utilizing tax and accounting software systems to oversee indirect tax compliance. You will also assist in managing relevant balance sheet accounts and help maintain the foreign indirect tax calendar while supporting other financial management tasks as needed.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate for the Tax Accountant position will have a higher degree in accounting or a related field and at least two years of experience in accounting or tax areas. You should possess a strong understanding of tax treatment in accordance with laws such as VAT and corporate income tax. Advanced skills in MS Excel are required and knowledge of Excel VBA is an advantage. Attention to detail and curiosity about working in a dynamic environment are essential traits. Moreover excellent communication skills in English both written and spoken are necessary while knowledge of EU VAT or US sales tax is considered a plus.
