Job Description

Vinted backend engineers work in Product Engineering teams with all main competencies needed to ship new features autonomously. The Transactional Experience domain focuses on ensuring a seamless experience for members once an order is placed. We seek a skilled backend engineer capable of writing elegant code for large-scale projects. Your main aim will be preparing our product for future challenges while contributing to Vinted's vision of making second-hand the first choice globally. Collaboration is key as you’ll work within a cross-functional team to enhance member experiences while facilitating agile methodologies and code reviews while maintaining high code quality with unit tests. Deploying your work instantly affects millions of users as we continuously merge to production, promoting a dynamic and impactful work environment, underlined by advanced technologies.

Job Requirements

Candidates should be eager to learn new technologies and improve existing systems actively. You should have a background in Software Engineering and be familiar with Distributed Systems and Service Oriented Architecture, as well as enterprise architecture patterns. A willingness to engage in constructive discussions while maintaining professionalism is essential. You will contribute to breaking down large monoliths into smaller, manageable components and ensuring the deployed code can handle high request rates and transactions per second. Overall, a proactive approach to enhancing systems and a collaborative spirit across teams will be crucial in delivering impactful results within our engineering domain.
