Job Description

Vinted backend engineers work in Product Engineering teams that are fully equipped to ship new features independently. They implement business logic and write APIs for both mobile and web platforms while scaling the backend platform to manage increased demand. The Transactional Experience domain is dedicated to ensuring a smooth transactional process for Vinted members after an order is placed, requiring a backend engineer who excels at writing clean code and enjoys working on large-scale projects. In this role, you'll aim to prepare the product for upcoming challenges, enhancing the Vinted mission to prioritize second-hand items.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate is ready to learn new technologies and actively seeks improvements. You should have familiarity with Software Engineering Distributed Systems Systems Architecture and Service Oriented Architecture. Understanding of enterprise architecture patterns and microservices is essential along with the ability to communicate constructively and professionally within the team. You will be involved in shaping features to enhance user experiences while applying Agile and Lean principles, contributing through collaborative code reviews and unit tests. Familiarity with Ruby on Rails MySQL and other large codebases will be advantageous though not mandatory.
