Job Description

We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to join the Transactional Experience domain within Vinted Product Engineering. Our mission is to enable users to successfully complete transactions by maintaining strong data consistency, ensuring resilient payment and shipping orchestration, and maintaining best-in-class performance. We want to make sure that every transaction that can succeed, does succeed. In this position you'll be accountable for bolstering the team by ensuring cohesion among members, managing processes effectively, overseeing delivery, and directly contributing code. You will work in a backend-centric team leading around six engineers while focusing on developing order management services from our monolithic core, applying rigorous standards to reusable capabilities, and managing the team's delivery according to the quarterly roadmap. Essentially, you will foster both personal and professional growth within your team while driving results and a sense of trust and commitment among team members.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate is action-oriented with advanced experience in languages such as Go, Ruby, Java, or C#, and substantial experience leading software engineering teams, delivering impactful outcomes. You should possess skills in enhancing team efficiency, engage in stakeholder management, and embrace uncertainty. Familiarity with service-oriented architectures and understanding concepts like monolithic versus modular architecture, coupling, and technical debt is beneficial. Beyond technical prowess, we're seeking someone who thrives in collaborative environments, knows how to inspire and support team members in achieving their best, and has the foresight to navigate challenges within the engineering process. Your capabilities in leading and nurturing your team will be key to managing both their and your growth.
