Vinted’s Marketplace Trust & Safety domain product team is seeking a Data Engineer to join a dedicated team with high aspirations focused on constructing a Detection platform with streaming capabilities. In this role, you will contribute to a mission to safeguard the Vinted community against harmful activities and content. Your work will involve leveraging complex technical solutions to enhance our detection capabilities while identifying and addressing team efficiency challenges. Collaboration within a supportive, inclusive team environment is essential to achieve excellence in engineering practices while optimizing product safety and performance. Job Requirements

Candidates should have a proven history in professional software development with expertise in programming languages such as Java or other JVM alternatives. Familiarity with agile methodologies, DevOps processes, and automation tools is crucial, alongside a working knowledge of data streaming frameworks. A solid understanding of infrastructure components such as compute, storage, and networking will serve as a valuable asset. Effective communication skills in written and verbal English are necessary, along with self-motivation and the ability to manage responsibilities. Additional preferred qualifications include experience with developer tools and a systematic approach to problem-solving, although these are not mandatory for application consideration.
