Job Description

As our new Decision Scientist you will join the Seller Intelligence team responsible for domain-level and broader analytical projects to help understand sellers needs and ensure domain-wide data availability. This team spans Vilnius and Berlin and consists of Decision Scientists and Analytics Engineers who collaborate closely with cross-functional product teams. You will be part of the cross-domain Data Science and Analytics guild where interaction and learning from all data people in Vinted takes place. Your tasks will involve identifying strategic opportunities answering key business questions ensuring optimized analysis of these questions and deepening insights into our seller base and their needs. You will set up and own key performance indicators for the domain while inspiring data-driven decision making within your team and direct stakeholders.

Job Requirements

To succeed in this role you should hold a BSc or MSc in a relevant field or possess equivalent working experience and have at least 2 years of demonstrated experience as a Decision Scientist or Data Analyst. Proficiency in SQL and a statistical programming language like Python or R along with experience in BI tools such as Looker Tableau or PowerBI is essential. You will need strong statistical skills demonstrated by experience in areas like A/B testing and regression analysis alongside the ability to develop actionable recommendations based on data insights. Excellent communication skills are necessary to clearly present complex topics and foster collaboration with a variety of stakeholders and a strong command of English is required.
