Job Description

The Threat Intelligence Lead will own Canonical’s threat intelligence strategy and execution focusing on identifying cyber threat actors targeting the company and leveraging intelligence regarding Tactics Techniques and Procedures to enhance products and cybersecurity controls. This role entails leading intelligence gathering on threats to software supply chains collaborating with internal stakeholders and the broader cybersecurity community. The successful candidate will analyze attack trends within the open source software landscape and communicate findings to internal security teams while advising engineering teams on detecting and mitigating threats. Given that Canonical products are present globally making them prime targets for cyber threats this role is crucial in securing software infrastructure for Canonical and its community. The role also involves coordinating adversary tracking and contributing to the open source threat intelligence community to establish Canonical as a thought leader. The ideal candidate will possess experience in threat intelligence leadership have knowledge of the current threat landscape and be proficient with OSINT tools among other qualifications.
