Job Description

The senior/staff Security Operations Engineer positions at Canonical involve becoming part of a new team dedicated to enhancing security within the open source supply chain. Candidates will play a pivotal role in defending essential assets against advanced cyber threats through the implementation and evolution of security practices techniques and tools. Responsibilities include analyzing and improving security architecture evaluating new security tools identifying and containing threats and contributing to the growth of Canonical’s SecOps presence. The team will also engage with the open source community by sharing threat intelligence and promoting industry knowledge. Ideal candidates should demonstrate a strong academic background in technology and possess deep motivation for security innovation. Their work will not only secure Canonical but will also enhance the integrity of the broader open source ecosystem.
