As an engineering manager at Canonical you will drive the future of collaborative open-source development tooling while leading a motivated team that shares a passion for open-source software and Linux. Your primary role will focus on nurturing the growth of your engineers ensuring they are delivering valuable work while enjoying their time at Canonical. Leading a distributed team you will be responsible for fostering technical excellence and guiding your team members in their professional journey. The role requires you to influence the engineering culture advocate modern agile practices and maintain productive relationships with various stakeholders. Additionally you will oversee the ongoing development of Launchpad the infrastructure that supports major projects like Ubuntu and actively engage in shaping the team's strategy and execution. Emphasizing a collaborative engineering environment aligned with company values you’ll also promote a healthy team dynamic and contribute to an innovative culture at Canonical while leading internal and external engagement with the broader organization.
