Job Description

As an engineering manager at Canonical you will lead a team of talented engineers in building a next-generation private cloud infrastructure using KVM Ceph and SDN technologies. Your role will encompass technical leadership and team development while ensuring high-quality microservice architectures are delivered. You will foster an environment of coaching and mentoring aiming for both professional growth and personal satisfaction among team members. Your responsibilities include setting expectations with stakeholders advocating modern software practices overseeing architectural reviews and facilitating technical delivery. You must understand complex distributed systems and have deep expertise in Linux cloud technologies including networking and storage capabilities. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to solve intricate engineering challenges while managing a remote team effectively. This position involves global collaboration allowing for travel up to six weeks yearly for team events and engagement with the open-source community.
