Job Description

This role is an exciting opportunity for a software engineer who is passionate about open source software Linux edge computing and IoT. You will help provide easy to deploy secure and customizable industrial edge solutions by designing and implementing applications that function on constrained IoT devices to powerful gateways. Your everyday challenges will center around embedded systems and Linux. The position emphasizes collaboration peer reviews and creating maintainable code while requiring general knowledge of Linux as a development platform. A focus on proactive collaboration with a distributed team is key along with developing and maintaining open source IoT application packages debugging and producing high-quality code and reviewing code from upstream engineers. You will also participate in discussions about IoT standardisation working groups and will work remotely with occasional global travel. Candidates should have a proven track record of software development experience with Go or C++ and familiarity with RESTful APIs and messaging protocols like MQTT while valuing communication skills and self-motivation.
