Job Description

The role of a Silicon Alliances Ecosystem Development Manager at Canonical involves driving open source adoption together with semiconductor partners to optimize the use of new chip technologies. This pivotal position encompasses developing product roadmaps devising go-to-market strategies and overseeing the lifecycle of partnerships to ensure seamless deployment and development on various hardware. Candidates are expected to connect Canonical's solutions with the strategies and technologies of silicon partners effectively collaborating across teams in engineering marketing and sales. Strong communication and influencing abilities are critical to manage joint product solutions and marketing initiatives while maintaining project execution rigor. The candidate should possess a solid understanding of the semiconductor industry and ideally have experience in software architecture as well as business development. This role requires a passion for both hardware and software with the opportunity to grow within the company focusing on both strategic initiatives and tactical execution. The successful candidate will also be remote working supporting partners across global markets while maintaining Canonical's commitment to open source and excellence in technology.
