As a Senior Software Engineer at Canonical you will lead and influence best practices within the Web Engineering team by driving technical conversations and identifying project risks for effective communication with stakeholders. You will own the development of significant projects ensuring an efficient engineering process while mentoring other engineers in their growth. The role involves designing and implementing software that is well-tested and documented troubleshooting user issues deploying services and advocating for the success of the product. You will also curate technical quality standards aligning architectural decisions with business objectives while being proactive in improving engineering practices. The position calls for exceptional technical capabilities paired with excellent soft skills allowing you to navigate the complexities of technology with transparency and teamwork. To be successful in this role you should be well-organized self-motivated and demonstrate the ability to research and integrate new technological approaches while providing insightful code reviews.
