Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a software engineer passionate about open source software Linux and Data Centre automation at Canonical. The role involves designing and developing the Metal As A Service technology enhancing Ubuntu's position as a cloud-ready server distribution. You will contribute to the core components of MAAS ensuring its simplicity and usability while collaborating with teams for effective integration. As part of a globally distributed engineering team you will demonstrate technical leadership and responsibility for problem-solving. The position requires a strong background in Python and Go and familiarity with networking and storage technologies. You will be involved in documentation improvement and maintaining a robust continuous integration environment. International travel several times a year is expected to foster collaboration with teams. The ideal candidate will have a solid professional software development track record a capacity for quick learning excellent troubleshooting skills and strong communication abilities in English.
