Job Description

As a Senior Design Manager at Canonical you will lead the Infrastructure Design team and be responsible for enhancing the cloud experiences and software distribution mechanisms while evolving security standards for software packaging and delivery. This role necessitates both management of design teams and deep technical expertise to coach designers in developing tools tailored for developers and cloud engineers. You will focus on fostering individual growth within your team while ensuring project timelines and expectations are met efficiently. Clear communication with product and engineering stakeholders is crucial to drive improvements in quality and guide team members to achieve meaningful professional development. Your leadership will influence the maturity of the design practice and promote collaboration among design leadership to enhance operational workflows and quality standards. You will engage with the open source community and reinforce Canonical's dedication to providing high-quality tools that align with users' needs and the company's strategic goals.
