Job Description

This exciting role seeks an experienced software engineer dedicated to open source software Linux and large-scale Web Services. You will join Canonical's engineering team at the forefront of the IoT revolution focusing on developing innovative telemetry and connectivity solutions. This involves integrating secure and reliable data streaming capabilities into the Snappy ecosystem thereby setting new benchmarks in development implementation management and security. Your work will enhance Canonical's global SaaS services facilitating customers in creating the next generation of IoT devices with utmost confidence. Collaborating remotely as part of a global team you'll be responsible for architecting scalable service APIs utilizing Python and Golang while developing robust data governance and management systems. Moreover you will engage in designing and implementing new features from inception to production and continue supporting them at scale ensuring customer needs are always met. Your expertise in back-end web services and familiarity with Ubuntu will be crucial as you tackle challenges related to cybersecurity and IoT connectivity ensuring Canonical remains a trusted leader in the industry.
