Job Description

This global leadership role in cyber security involves managing the Security Operations SecOps team which is tasked with the design implementation and evolution of Canonical's security practices tools systems and policies. The SecOps team is responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of Canonical's data internal infrastructure and build processes. They design and implement security controls that automatically identify contain and remediate threats. Moreover the team plays a vital role in enhancing the security posture of Canonical's products thus benefiting Ubuntu customers against cyber threats. As the SecOps team manager you will work closely with the Organisational Learning and Development team creating training materials while leading a high performing team. With a requirement for expert technical prowess in both open source and proprietary security tools this role entails assessing work based on professional experience and integrating security solutions across Canonical's spectrum. Furthermore the SecOps team is committed to contributing to the broader open source security ecosystem through knowledge sharing events and threat intelligence collaboration.
