Job Description

The role of a Visual UI Designer at Canonical involves transforming complex open-source software into user-friendly products that revolutionize enterprise IT. The designer will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team and engage deeply in design thinking focusing on innovation and creativity. This position demands a passion for the Ubuntu and Canonical brands which will be expressed across various platforms including digital assets and physical events. The Visual UI Designer will be tasked with delivering high-quality designs that adhere to strict usability standards to elevate user experience. Daily responsibilities include working with visual designers and engineers to bring engaging web projects to fruition while being an integral part of the product design process. The designer should have a keen understanding of typography color theory and layout principles along with agency or freelance experience to effectively convey content within the designs. The role is remote and calls for an individual who is eager to learn continuously push creative boundaries and contribute to the success of the Canonical design team.
