Job Description

This role demands a skilled software engineer with a passion for open source software and web services. You will leverage your expertise in Go and Python to enhance identity and access management products within Canonical's ecosystem. Your primary responsibility will be to modernize these products by improving authentication and authorization functionalities not only within our software suite but also on the canonical.com and ubuntu.com websites. You will take ownership of the entire design and delivery process thus ensuring high-quality integration and implementation of new features. As part of a distributed team you will write clean APIs support CLI and web frontend clients and improve end-user authentication flows. Additionally you will drive the adoption of cutting-edge IAM technologies while maintaining a culture of engineering excellence. The role requires a strong background in software development particularly in identity management along with a commitment to secure coding practices and agile methodologies.
