Job Description

In this role you will manage a globally distributed team that delivers the Ubuntu Server Distribution providing the latest free software components in a user-friendly and reliable form. You will develop talent through coaching and mentoring while collaborating with Product Management to shape the vision of Ubuntu. The position involves setting expectations with engineering teams and advocating modern agile development practices. You will also participate actively in leadership team discussions and ensure high-quality outputs in the Ubuntu Server image family. The ideal candidate is passionate about developing people and software with a track record in leading diverse teams. With a focus on success and timely delivery of high-quality software you should possess experience in agile environments and have knowledge of modern GNU/Linux distributions preferably Debian or Ubuntu. Additionally practical experience with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure Google Cloud or Amazon Web Services is desired.
