Job Description

As an engineering manager at Canonical you will lead a team focused on the development and optimization of Ubuntu images for major cloud platforms like Amazon Google and Microsoft. You will ensure the stability and functionality of our products while automating the delivery of Ubuntu images for various workloads including web servers and AI-enabled applications. Your role encompasses both technical leadership and team management as you mentor engineers ensuring their professional growth and delivering high-quality software on time. You will also engage with external partners to enhance the deployment of Ubuntu while contributing to a healthy engineering culture that aligns with company values. Familiarity with Python and Golang is essential as you will participate in code reviews and guide architectural decisions in your projects while maintaining a commitment to quality and performance optimization.
