Job Description

As a Community Engineer at Canonical your role is to support community initiatives and enable community leaders and participants to effectively engage in the Ubuntu project. You will coordinate with Canonical teams to ensure community processes run smoothly while facilitating the work of energetic community members who wish to express their vision of open source. Your responsibilities will include using your technical and organizational skills to enhance developer integration with community plans assisting volunteer developers and ensuring the sustainability of their projects. Communication is key as you will engage the community through various platforms creating content to keep them informed and motivated. You will represent the Ubuntu community and Canonical at conferences and expos discussing technical projects and their development. This position calls for someone experienced in DevOps Software Development and Linux who is passionate about open source and community building. It offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to an impactful global community while working remotely in the EMEA region.
